Couple Therapy

I’ll walk with you from the start to help take the mystery out of  the work and  make it feel approachable.

Perhaps you and your partner feel deeply content, and you’re hoping to identify ways you can improve as a partner and connect just a little bit more. Maybe your relationship feels like it’s on solid ground and you’re wanting to address a particular issue that leaves you feeling stuck. You might be heartbroken and unsure you can save your relationship in the face of disconnection, infidelity, or conflict patterns you can’t seem to change. Or you may be undecided about whether to continue the relationship, or you and your partner may have chosen to end the relationship and are hoping to part ways constructively. Research shows that couple therapy is effective, and there are many reasons why people decide to give it a try.

Relationships

It can feel scary to think about starting couple therapy, and I’ll walk with you from the start to help take the mystery out of this work and make it feel more approachable. The first few sessions of our work would involve a careful assessment, followed by a discussion of the results and a potential treatment plan based on that assessment. The rest of our work together would build on that plan, making any adjustments as needed. I love working with couples to help each partner feel emotionally safe and able to create new experiences together that match their goals.
